Tuesday, 1:32 p.m.
Everyone was on the bridge, dealing with a power outage. An hour ago, the power had gone out, including their air supply. Time was running out before everyone would die. The crew was working hard to get it restored. Fortunately, it had been diagnosed as a treatable problem.
With footsteps being heard up above, scurrying to and fro, Gilbert descended into the storage room to stay out of everyone's hair. His room was too noisy, but down here, he could relax and stay out of the wayand possibly do some drugs.
A flashlight in hand, he moved among the boxes and crates until he found a suitable corner. Sitting on a box, he dug into his pocket and was about to pull out just what he was looking for when he felt a rustling beneath him. Frowning, he stood up and pointed the flashlight down at the box. He saw the box move.
Frowning, he gently opened the flaps and then, among the various medical supplies inside, he saw athe source of the movement. Perhaps recklessly, he reached his hand down and pulled out a small, brown ball of fur. It moved and, when Gilbert petted it, it purred.
Gilbert bit his bottom lip. It was so cute.
Looking around, he stuck the little ball into the pocket of his hoodie and then quickly left the supply room. It was still dark, and power still hadn't been restored, so he was able to get back to his room safely without any notice. He passed by a few people he couldn't recognize in the dark, but they paid him no mind.

Power had been restored to the Axis. The crew could breathe safely.

Tuesday, 6:49 p.m.
Gilbert discovered that they loved lettuce, and they loved to be petted. He didn't remember picking up two of them from the storage room, only one, however it had, after all, been dark, and maybe they were huddling together for warmth?
A book stolen from Roderich's collection months ago had finally proven useful in identifying the creature...well, now creatures. Gilbert had turned his back once and suddenly, there were two.
With one tribble on his lap and the other on his shoulder, purring away, Gilbert read:
Gilbert's eyes widened at that and he looked down at the one on his lap.
There were two.

Wednesday, 10:31 a.m.
When Gilbert woke up the next morning, all seven tribbles were curled into him. He grinned and hugged them all, made sure they were petted, and then left. He ate a quick breakfast with whatever was served, he wasn't really paying attention, more trying to figure out how he'd get a head of lettuce out of the kitchen. Fortunately, when nobody was looking, he managed.
Gilbert went back to his room, and watched as they devoured it. He didn't remember those other two being there when he left...

Saturday, 8:45 p.m.
Gilbert stepped into his room and immediately stopped as the doors slid behind him. He ran his fingers through his hair, biting his lip. This...this was bad. Fortunately not a single tribble had escaped his room since they had come, however it had been a challenge. It had also been a challenge keeping everyone out of his room and suspecting he had anything. But, Gilbert was a master at hiding things, so nobody suspected anything - yet.
They were on his bed, on the floor, in his drawers, in his storage boxes...everywhere.
"This is bad," he whispered softly, scratching the back of his head. He slowly stepped out of his room, took a deep breath, and then went back into it, making sure the door shut quickly behind him. He didn't notice two that escaped, scurrying quickly down the hall...

Sunday, 9:46 a.m.
Gilbert awoke suddenly when he almost died because all the tribbles kept wanting to cuddle with him, which involved completely covering his face. He sat up and pushed the twelve tribbles off his chest and looked around. His room was entirely covered in them. Somehow, he managed to get to the door without stepping on any of them, and when the door opened he had to kick a few back to prevent them from escaping.
Walking down the hall, his eyes widened when he overheard two crewmembers about how a small ball of fluff got into the medical supplies. How many were there on the ship? And where were they?

Tribbles are native to the planet Iota Geminorum IV. They are small bundles of fur with no visible external features that ranges from solid white to grey, speckled light to dark brown, yellow to reddish orange, and black.
Their only two purposes in life appear to be to eat and to reproduce, and they perform both of these functions exceptionally well. Tribbles use over fifty percent of their metabolism for reproduction and they are born pregnant.
Gilbert's eyes widened at that and he looked down at the one on his lap.
