Player Name: SixWeekOldHedgehog (Six will do )
Character: Hungary
Name: Elizabeta Héderváry
Age: 25
Affiliation: The Axis
Occupation and/or Rank: Scout
Birthplace: Budapest, Hungary
Appearance: Elizabeta has long light brown hair, which she tries to tame by tying it in a ponytail. She dresses respectably and favours trousers for ease of movement. She will often wear green to bring out the colour in her eyes, and a flower clip in her hair to remind her of the time she visited a sanctuary on Earth. She is quite short, at least compared to those of her cohorts who grew up in low or zero gravity. Personal hygiene is a concern to her - not wanting to be confined in close quarters with someone with an odour problem - and she will always be neatly turned out.
Example attire
Personality: Elizabeta comes across as a pleasant, polite girl, until you get to know her. Once she has relaxed enough to let her
tomboyish side show, she can be tough, hearty and crude. She does her best to maintain a bright demeanor in the face of hardship, sometimes to the extent of rejecting reality. She has faith in those she chooses to associate with, and is happy to serve. Elizabeta's loyalty is earned, not bought, and as a friend she will be fiercely protective.
Elizabeta respects diversity and non-conformity, and will never judge a person on first appearances. Elizabeta loves to chat and will listen to gossip eagerly. That little tidbit might just come in handy some day.
AU History: Elizabeta's parents brought her up to be a practical sort, trying to lend her the skills to survive in the teeming city of Budapest. Her mother worked hard to give her a good start in life. Her Austrian father was distant, but not cruel. Elizabeta showed a talent for reportage as an editor of her college newspaper and when she had a chance to leave education and join The Galactic Herald shadowing an investigative journalist, she jumped at the chance, eager to get off-planet and see something of the universe. The job turned out to be taking snapshots of various celebrities in compromising positions, and while she had to admit there was a certain frisson about getting the shot and getting the heck outta there, it wasn't quite the epic career she felt she deserved. So, Elizabeta took matters into her own hands. She began engineering her own situations, taking photos which ensured a steady climb through the ranks of the paparazzi, until an entrapment scenario with a Division V official, a barrel of monkeys, a toast rack and a tub of Venezuelan Q-Tips resulted in her being forced out of her job and, essentially, off the radar if she valued her life. Which she did.
So, Elizabeta pootled around spaceports for a while, selling subspace postcards to tourists, waiting for a passing spaceship with a burning need for a photographer. The Axis needed a photographer like it needed another hole in the hull, but what it did have was a crew of equally disenfranchised individuals. So, she approached Ludwig late one night in the spaceport bar, offering a tankard of (admittedly poor) ale as a sweetener. Her proposition was that she be taken on as a scout: inserted in advance, she could gain intelligence for a raid or vet a potential business partner, helping to reduce the risks of a given mission.
Elizabeta would also like to think of herself as the unofficial morale officer of the Axis. She will take any excuse for a party. All too often though, she is the sober one, reminding the others of their embarrassments the next morning...
Equipment: Elizabeta is never without her notebook-sized instacam device. This device can be connected to up to three transmitters, each no larger than a fingernail, which have gecko tape affixed to their backs to allow easy and quick installation. Of course, she would never dream of using the transmitters to spy on the crew of the Axis - they are purely for the crew's safety, and the fact that the third transmitter was "mislaid" some time ago should not be of any concern to Ludwig, she would insist if questioned... She also carries a pepperpot-sized recording device.
Elizabeta is not usually armed, as such, but if you try to get one over on her you'll find she can improvise. Tables, ladders and chairs, oh my!
Any other info: Elizabeta totally does not spend her spare time making doujinshi of the Axis' crew. Instead, she cultivates a small hydroponic garden over the sink in her quarters, growing basil and other herbs for flavouring the crew's meals (although she isn't really all that fond of noodles). She would love to get a chance to ride a horse, only having seen them in books.
