It just wasn't the game for him-chess. Not that he hadn't learned to play, or tried to appreciate the complexity of the game mind you, he just couldn't be bothered with all the little pointless rules and nuisances. Checkers was much more to his speed. Unfortunately there wasn't a checkers table overlooking the space stations waiting lounge and the little old lady sitting across from him hadn't asked to play a game of it. While the spanish man's first instinct had been to flat out refuse it had occurred to him that doing so would look more than a little odd.
A little over an hour (and two games) later he was about ready to flip the table over and walk away. The little old lady was chuckling to herself as she once again placed his king in check and the person he was supposed to be picking up had yet to show their face. Antonio was seriously considering doubling his price because really he wasn't a damn taxi service, even as a favor to a friend. If they wanted this person to get to them they really should have just bought a ticket for them on a legitamate space craft instead of bribing him to play chauffeur. Another piece was shifted absently on the board and the old lady crowed in delight. Well, he'd probably just lost this game as well...
Green eyes scanned over the crowd again and suddenly he spotted them. Right height? Check? Right gender? Check. Right hairstyle? Check. Looked like he'd found who he was looking for. Out of the chair like a shot, he made some rather insincere apologies to his opponent and fled into the crowd, hurrying after his pick-up. Crowd maneuvering was, thankfully, one of those skills he'd developed over the years and it didn't take long to reach his target. A hand moved out to grab their shoulder.
"Excuse me, but are you...?"
