Player Name: Mollie, Moll, anything you care to call me, really XD
Character: Ireland
Name: Patrick Murphy. Answers to ‘Murph’ or ‘Murphy’.
Age: 29
Affiliation: The Axis
Occupation and/or Rank: Good Luck Charm? That’s what he claims, anyway. More like one more mouth to feed. Mm, noodles.
Birthplace: New Glasgow, a Scottish space colony.
Appearance: Picture Colin Farrell, but green eyes. He usually wears his hair loose, but when ‘serious business’ is going on – card games, bets of any kind, drinking competitions, etc, etc – he’ll pull it back in a pony tail to keep it out of his face. He likes comfortable clothes and would prefer to be in loose fitting things than tight, but doesn’t make a big fuss if he can’t grab a comfortable pair of jeans and a long sleeved shirt. He always wears a silver clover on a chain around his neck. Here’s a photo for reference: www.moviemobsters.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/colin-farrell.jpg
Personality: Murph is generally a pretty happy-go-lucky guy. He’s easy to get along with, loves a good joke, and isn’t afraid to tell people what he’s thinking. And, as long as he’s drunk or has alcohol somewhere near his person, he’s in that happy-go-lucky state of mind. But, when he’s hung over or can’t get to alcohol in a timely manner, he gets very upset, and will have no qualms about punching the nearest thing to him, be it friend, foe, or inanimate object. Thankfully, he carries a flask of Irish lager on his person at all times, so there are generally no ‘issues’. He does enjoy a good brawl, and if there’s a fight going on in front of him, he’d probably jump in just for the fun of it. He’s not above using flattery to get what he wants, but generally all he wants is a refill on his Guinness. Some would call him a mooch, but he generally finds ways to pay people back for their hospitality and generosity.
AU History: Murph was born to two Scottish parents in the New Glasgow space colony. His birth name was Patrick Murphy MacEachthighearna and was welcomed into the ‘world’ by his older brother, Seaghdh. The two got along quite well through their childhood, and Murph looked up to Scotty like any younger brother would. His sorrow when his parents divorced was more based on the fact that he had to be separated from his brother than anything else. After being sent to live with his father, he got more in touch with his family’s history, and discovered the Irish heritage on his father’s side. By the time he was re-united with his brother, he associated himself more with the Irish people than Scottish. The two countries and their people are quite similar, though, so it wasn’t frowned upon by his father or his brother.
After they got wind of a step brother, both Murph and Scotty vowed to hate the kid’s guts for the rest of their lives.
Once Scotty left to pursue his passion in life, Murph was left to find his own. And boy, did he find it. He discovered his ‘Irish luck’ around the time he was sixteen, and began swindling and betting and cheating everyone he knew out of their money. He bought booze by the case with his ‘winnings’, and ended up becoming an alcoholic very early on in his life. At age eighteen he ended up in a bit of trouble – alcohol, bets, cheating, and bar fights are never good – and wound up in prison for about a year. The lack of alcohol made him wake up and see that his life was going nowhere at a very slow pace, and he decided to change that a bit once he was free again.
On his twentieth birthday he changed his name, dropping the horribly complicated Scottish surname and making his middle name his last, and set off to find his brother. The best times in his life had been when he had been with Scotty, and therefore, if he wanted good times again, he figured he’d find him and things would be great again. It took him years of following Scotty’s trail – old bosses, stories from pubs – but finally he caught up with him, and discovered that he was working on the Axis, which was captained by that man that apparently caused a lot of trouble a few years back. Never really up-to-date on things like that, Murph found Scotty in some random pub on a hardly known planet (he thanked his Irish luck for that) and talked his brother into taking him back with him, promising not to be (too much of) a burden.
Equipment: Aside from his flask, Murph keeps a switchblade on him at all times in case any of the little scuffles he gets into turn into something more than just a fun time. He’s not terribly handy with guns, and prefers to let more experienced people deal with them.
Any other info: Murph is incredibly lucky. Things generally go in his favor, be it a bet or getting out of a sticky situation. Those around him generally benefit from his odd ‘skill’, and he doesn’t mind sharing the wealth with his friends to help them get ahead.

And, of course, if anything doesn't fit the story/needs to change, I r flexible =w=
